Thanks to everyone at Kepler's Books in Menlo Park, California (www.Keplers.com) for making such a wonderful event happen today!
The Hippy Gourmet team showed up early and set up several solar ovens (www.SolarOvens.org) which came to almost 400 degrees temperature in less than 30-minutes time. Then we placed tray after tray of wonderful, delicious vegan cookies into the ovens and 20-minutes each batch was done!
After gathering a really nice crowd, we went into Kepler's and James Ehrlich (the Producer and Director of Organic Living with the Hippy Gourmet TV) spoke about the show, the book, our new compilation DVDs and about taking the name 'Hippy' back for all the positive things it represents. James also talked about cooking with solar ovens, wearing hemp, working with organic, bio-dynamic and locally produced seasonal ingredients, plus all the other great sustainable aspects of the Organic Living TV series.
James and Bruce also signed a lot of books and answered questions until all of the cookies and books were gone!
Far out! We just love local, community bookstores like Kepler's!
Peace, Love and Organics,
your HIppy Gourmet Family
